Marcus Bakari was born in Brazil and his current work can be described as narrative Impressionist realism. At the age of 12, he learned drawing by selling cartoons and portraits on the street at handicraft fairs in Sao Paulo. Bakari, who specializes in watercolor painting, began painting at the age of 18 in Curitiba, Brazil. After ten years of studying, at the age of 27, when he held his first solo show, Temperatures cotidianas, he began selling his work professionally. In the same year, his name was announced among the top 20 artists selected by the DesignCollector network. Although he still retains the figures as his main subject in realistic language, his works become more conceptual.
