Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi, born in 1955/1334 in Semnan, is an Iranian painter, illustrator and cartoonist. He is a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Campus of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and also works in the fields of design, graphics, sculpture and animation. He is a member of the founding board and chairman of the first board of the Association of Children and Adolescent Book Illustrators. He was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Prize in 2012. In addition to teaching at the university and illustrating books, Bani Asadi also has illustrations in Baran, Kayhan Bacheha, and Soroush magazines for children and adolescents. So far, he has illustrated about 80 books for children and adolescents, including "Kite and Crow", "God is Intimate with His Friends", and "Sweet Tales of a Cat and a Cat". The artist has also worked in the fields of design, graphics, sculpture and animation; It has won numerous awards at various exhibitions and biennials held abroad and at home.These awards include the Honorary Diploma of the Bordyra Cartoon Exhibition of Italy (1989), the Special Jury Prize of the Cartoon Exhibition of Anglet France (1989), the statue of Hans Christian Andersen of the International Children's Day Festival (2005), the Diploma of Honor of the First Exhibition of Iranian Children's Book Illustrators (1989), Gold Statue and Diploma of Honor of the Third Biennial Graphic Exhibition of Iran (1992) and Diploma of Honor of the Fourth Biennial of Graphic Exhibition of Iran (1373). Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi was selected as an Iranian nominee for the World Prize in 2010 at the suggestion of the Awards Committee of the Children's Book Council. He has also judged art competitions and been a member of the selection committee for many exhibitions. The fourth period of cultural and artistic competitions of students of technical and vocational higher education centers in the fields of painting and caricature; Tehran Blue Sky Cartoon Contest; 9th Children and Adolescents Book Festival in the field of illustration; The 4th Tehran International Cartoon Biennial is one of the competitions and art programs in which Bani Asadi has participated as a judge. This artist received a degree in sculpture at Kamal Al-Molk Conservatory in 1974, an animation degree at the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents in 1976, a bachelor's degree in visual arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran in 1980, and a master's degree in illustration at the Faculty of Fine Arts University of Tehran received in 2001.
