I’m Yujun Qin. I’m a illustrator based in Shenzhen, China. Before coming to CSA, painting was a leisure hobby that had always been with me. Until one day I decided to create something with it. Picture book is an expression that appeals to me. I like that it has both rigour and freedom at the same time. I am preferred to work with dry materials such as pastels, coloured pencils, markers and crayons. I enjoy observing and capturing the humour in life. I love moments when people are being silly and showing subtle emotions. Playing with metaphors and atmosphere is also a part I really enjoy.
