Sasan Moayedi (born July 29, 1980 in Tehran) is a documentary and war photographer from Iran. He is best known for his photographs of the Iran-Iraq war. Moayedi and Ahmad Nateghi were among the first photographers to capture images of the chemical bombing of Halabja. He started his photography career in 1976 in the public relations of Iranian television. Published works from photographs from the eight-year period of the Holy Defense immediately draw the audience's attention to the collection of the imposed war, of which six volumes were published between 1961 and 1967. These books were valuable and glorious works that were collected and published in 6 volumes in Germany. In 2020, he became the first Iranian to win the Alfred Fried World Peace Prize in Vienna, Austria, with his collection of love stories.
