Bilal is an Egyptian calligrapher born in 1982 in Sharkiya province. He studied philosophy until PhD and was ranked second in the field of gilding and Arabic calligraphy in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He is currently a lecturer at Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca, and from the time he graduated in 2009 to 2012, he worked as a lecturer in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic decorations at the School for the Improvement of Arabic Calligraphy. Bilal is a member of the General Syndicate of Calligraphers in Egypt. He has also participated in international calligraphy competitions as a judge. In 2017, he won the second prize in Arabic calligraphy from the Istanbul Municipality, and in 2016, he received an incentive award in the "Sols Jali" calligraphy at the 10th International Arabic Calligraphy Competition in Turkey. In 2014, he won the main prize of the Sharjah International Association of Arabic Calligraphy.
