Mehdi Haji Mohammadi Farimani was born in 1969 in Shahroud. He completed his bachelor's degree in graphic design and his master's degree in painting from Modares University of Arts and Education; Then he taught in various universities of arts in the country, including Surah, Tarbiat Modares, Shahid Rajaei and Applied Science. During his years of activity and creation of works of art, Farimani has organized various calligraphy workshops inside and outside the country (Soura University, University of Arts, Academy of Arts and Hozeh Honari in Iran / National Universities, Kaslik, Tire, Nabatieh, etc. in Lebanon) Idil Gallery in Turkey, etc.), organizes solo exhibitions and participates in domestic and foreign group exhibitions. He has participated in various art festivals and competitions, and has received numerous titles, awards and plaques, such as the award of the Second International Biennial of Poster in the Islamic World. He is a member of the jury of several art festivals, including the graphic section of the 10th International Mourning of Visual Arts of Ashura, as well as the publication of several articles and books in his activities. The books "Spirituality in Calligraphy" and "Study of Visual Symbols of Ashura in Iranian Painting" are the works of Mehdi Haji Mohammadi Farimani.
