Since ancient times, many sculptures made of stone have sought a connection to the future and the past that transcends the time in which individuals live because of their durability. While I understand that it is arrogant for me, I have been creating my works with the faint hope that my works will be seen in the distant future, while feeling the continuity of human activities in Egyptian and Greek sculptures and stone age rock figures. Contrary to the permanent image that stone symbolizes, we humans are fragile and far from eternal, and we are reminded of this every day as we live today. I am interested in the fluctuations and wriggles of human beings who have lived in a finite world while longing for eternity and permanence, which stone sculptures possess.
