Gholam Ali Taheri was born in 1961/ 1335 in Tehran. He graduated with a bachelor and master's degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and holds an honors degree from the Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts and a first-class art degree - equivalent to a PhD - in painting from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Taheri is one of the founders of the Faculty of Arts of Shahed University and in the field of science, art and culture of the country in positions such as lecturer of universities and higher education centers; Director of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art; Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Arts, Shahed University; Member of the founding board and board of trustees of the Iranian Visual Arts Association; Member of the founding board and board of the Revolutionary and Sacred Defense Visual Arts Association; Artistic advisor of the Center for Visual Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; A member of the jury, strategic councils, planning and policy-making of dozens of festivals and art events, such as the secretary general of the first International Festival of Fajr Visual Arts, etc., he has always had an active presence.
