Share Duri Baek (b.1984) talks about the coexistence of two elements with opposite qualities such as vigilance and attention, concealment and exposure, chance and intention, light and darkness. Among them, her paintings express the will to live through the light and shadows that fall on plants. The light and shadows that fall on plants are the result of their fierce determination and efoorts to survive on their own. In the process of translating this into paintings, the artist uses yellow for light and green for shadows. It seems that nothing else is needed to express the way of life she wants to convey. After graduating from Hongik University's Department of Visual Design, Duri Baek has been working steadily under the genre of illustration, focusing on books, newspapers, magazines, product design, corporate advertisements and participating in various exhibitions. Beyond simple illustrations, she has also been publishing her own stories such as "I'm Trying to Make a Living as a Drawing", "How Am I?" and "A Woman Living Alone."
