Agim Sulaj was born in 1960 in Tirana, the capital of Albania, but spent his childhood and adolescence in the expensive city of Vellore. From a young age, Agim experienced his passion and love for paintings and arts in general, and his talents became clear at an early stage. In 1985, he finished his studies at Tirana Academy of Arts and started working with "Political Magazine" and "Tanz". This exposes the young artist to the world of irony and satire, an important element for the formation of his own work of art. At the same time, he develops a surrealist style that is more evident in his later works. In his cartoons, he deals with the major social and political problems of the 21st century, such as global poverty, environmental pollution, the life of an immigrant, and other social issues.
