Carlos Garaicoa is known for his multimedia works exploring themes of urbanism, architecture, and memory. His art often incorporates photography, sculpture, and installation elements to create powerful commentaries on the urban environment. Born in Havana in 1967, Garaicoa began his career in the 1990s with his first piece, Suceso en Aguiar 609, which took place in his own apartment building. Since then, his exhibitions have been featured in galleries and museums across Cuba, as well as in international art museums like the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
