Maziar Bijani was born in 1971 in Babylon. He is a graduate of Imam Sadegh (AS) University and holds a master's degree in art from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Most of his works are in the field of caricature and he has participated in several group exhibitions and held a number of solo exhibitions. He was a regular cartoonist for the Kayhan newspaper for ten years. In 2009, Bijani became more active in opposing the Green Movement and counter-revolutionary movements. One of his works is a collection of serial caricatures in the Green Sedition movement. A collection of 50 caricatures by Maziar Bijani about the Green Movement after the 2009 elections has been humorously criticized and reproduced by cultural institutions. This collection has been published and distributed in a more complete title under the title of "Velvet Green Movement" by Iman and Andisheh Embankment Cultural Institute in 2000 copies. He was one of the participants in the Holocaust caricature competition. One of the notable issues of this caricature was that, assuming that the Holocaust was true, why its main perpetrators (European countries) were not attacked by the Zionists and instead the Palestinians fell victim to this current. He later published his Holocaust caricature in three languages: Persian, Arabic and English. Illustrating the book "America's History" is also one of his important activities. From 2011 to 2017, he was the editor of the biweekly satire and caricature magazine and was also the managing director of Bezangah comic and cartoon monthly. Bijani has won several awards, including: First place in the pen contest in the fight against cultural invasion, International Book Fair, 1995; First place in the caricature competition with the theme of the film; Press Festival, 1996; Special prize from the caricature contest, Press Festival, 1997, Third place and commendation plaque from the caricature contest, Revolution Pathology Conference, Plaque of appreciation from the second conference of writers and artists of the Revolution and Holy Defense, 1999, Commendation plaque from Intifada caricature contest, Tehran-Palestine Solidarity Conference, 2000.
