Anna Jacobina Jacobsen was born in 1971 in Denmark. She is a trained illustrator from the Danish School of Design, and since 2013, since she started working as a children's book illustrator, she has created amazing and profound illustrations of children's books worldwide. In her books, she depicts the great and heavy themes of life in a poetic way. Her line is bold and adventurous. These books are ideal for discussing difficult topics such as death, neglect, aging, and loneliness. In 2019, she received the Ministry of Culture Illustrator Award for the picture book "Ø", which is wordless but full of narrative. Also in 2021, she was nominated for the Ministry of Culture Author Award for the picture book "Sparrow", which is about a girl whose father is unemployed and has a hard life. Jacobsen is one of the participants in the third international exhibition "Peace must be learned from childhood".
